Sketches from Barra de Potosi
A week at a tropical beach can seem like paradise- but can turn your brain to mush. I was thankful to have my sketchbook with me at Barra de Potosi- a tiny town south of Zihuatanejo on the coast of Guerrero, Mexico.

San Miguel's Tuesday Urban Sketchers group
Last Tuesday our sketch group met at Cafe Zenteno in San Miguel to
celebrate their new location. Lately we have been getting 20-30 people a
week- it was a cozy fit in this lovely courtyard- so we sketched each
other sketching.

The 2017 San Miguel Writer's Conference
This year's San Miguel Writer's conference included several top keynote speakers including Naomi Klein, Judy Collins, Mary Karr and Billy Collins. Over 900 people attended the 4 day word fest that included open mike readings, fiestas, round table discussions and more.

Women's Solidarity March San Miguel
At least a thousand people gathered at Juarez Park in San Miguel de Allende to participate in the global Women's solidarity March. Pink and red pussy hats and balloons bobbed their way through the park. Although it was not officially an anti Trump rally there were plenty of signs and badges to that effect.
